Thousands of participants from more than 80 countries and every time zone will come together on April 28, 2018 to observe peace, health and the positive energy associated with the practice of Tai Chi and Qigong.
Tai Chi is widely practiced for its health benefits, and qigong (literally, “life energy cultivation”) is a holistic system of coordinated body posture, movement, breathing, and meditation. Tai Chi is a generic term for internal martial arts originating from China. There are a variety of Chinese styles as well as internal martial arts from other origins.
Schools, groups, and anyone interested at all levels are invited to join in the event. Local Tai Chi and Qigong communities, representing many styles, organize the event annually; this event is presented in collaboration with the Asian American Resource Center(AARC).
