Come celebrate National Ice Cream Month with popular South Austin gelateria, Dolce Neve, in Sustainable Food Center’s The Happy Kitchen.
Learn the secrets of making traditional Italian gelato using fresh, local ingredients from Austin-area dairies and SFC Farmers’ markets. Owner and gelato-maker extraordinaire, Marco Silvestrini, will show you how to make fun, flavorful and seasonal gelato and popsicles that you can recreate at home. Come to class ready for hands-on participation and, if you eat dinner beforehand, be sure to save extra room for dessert!
We will sample what we make, but it will not be a complete meal.
- Classes are for adults. Youth ages 8 and up may attend with purchase of an additional ticket and close parent/guardian supervision during class.
- Registration closes two business days before class. All attendees must purchase tickets to attend. No walk-ins allowed.
- All payments are final and non-refundable. However, we would be happy to transfer your spot in this class to someone else if you cannot attend.
