During Community Night Spotlight evenings, Thinkery shines a light on a unique aspect of the rich diversity that makes Austin such an amazing place to live, play and learn with educational activities facilitated by staff and special community presenters.

On Wednesday, April 12, learn what you can do to be a better friend to a child with Autism. Strap on a headset for a VR experience simulating what it might feel like to experience overstimulation. Local organizations dedicated to serving and expanding awareness of the needs of people with disabilities will share their expertise, resources and stories.
This event is for everyone, regardless of ability, but Community Nights can be busy. If your child would benefit from a quieter visit to Thinkery, consider attending Sensory Friendly Hours presented by Variety on Sunday, April 29.

Shining Stars â€“ Theatre arts and improv games with Joshua's Stage at 6:30 pm & 7:15 pm.
Too Much Information â€“ Autism Society of Texas helps you feel what it might be like experience too much sensory input with a 360-degree virtual reality experience.
Hands on activities with Spark Learning and story time at 6 pm.
Dance and Move â€“ Dance lessons for individuals of all abilities with 2dance2dream.
