Food will be available for purchase at each location. The 2017 St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl participants are: Baxter’s on Main, 919 Main Street, Old Town Restaurant & Bar, 931 Main Street, Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard, 601 Chestnut Street, Viejo’s Tacos & Tequila, 912 Main Street and newest downtown eatery Urban Cowboy Southern Fusion, 813 Main Street. Urban Cowboy is slated to open on Wednesday, March 15th.
“It’s great to see our downtown businesses working together so enthusiastically to bring exciting events to the public,” said Main Street Director Sarah O’Brien, “I may be partial, since I am Irish, but we couldn’t be more excited that they chose such a fun and festive holiday to kick off the 2017 Pub Crawl series.”
Tickets for the Irish I was Bastrop Pub Crawl can be purchased in advance beginning Tuesday, March 14th at Viejo’s or Old Towne for $25 each. The evening of the event tickets will be available for purchase in person at Baxter’s on Main. Participants are also encouraged to purchase an official event t-shirt for an additional $15, available in limited sizes and on a first come first serve basis. “Safety is always a top priority for us so there is no entry fee for designated drivers,” said Rhonda Potter, event co-chair with the Old Town Restaurant & Bar.
Future 2017 Pub Crawl themes will be Cinco De Mayo, Bastrop Homecoming and Octoberfest. “We hope this event continues to grow and becomes a destination event for folks to enjoy downtown,” said event Co-Chair Tara Chez Britton with Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard.
