Symphony of Soul Benefit with Leslie Hyland Rodgers
Seton, Austin Asset and Vineyard Investment Advisors present Singer/Actress Leslie Hyland Rodgers and her band The Hylanders in a performance of Princess, Pauper, Seeker, Servant. There will be a cocktail reception from 7:30-8:00pm. The show will run from 8:00 to 9:00pm, followed by a reception with dessert and coffee at 9:00. The evening will benefit Symphony of Soul, an Austin-based nonprofit devoted to inspiring hope and joy through the healing power of live music. The charity hires professional musicians to provide live "musical medicine for the soul" to people in need. www.symphonyofsoul.org A classically trained lyric coloratura soprano, Leslie Hyland Rodgers sings a variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz and musical comedy. Leslie has had speaking roles on television in The Lying Game, One Life to Live, Another World and The Bold & Beautiful. In addition to small roles in independent films, she had a supporting role in the film Loving Deadly (shown at the Cannes Film Festival in France), Multiplicity under the direction of the late Harold Ramis and NeTune's Big Adventure, an experimental film short directed by Academy Award Winning Cinematographer Russell Carpenter of the movie Titanic. Leslie has worked with Broadway directors and composers Martin Charnin and Charles Strouse ofAnnie fame and had leading roles in revivals of their productions of Two by Two and Nightingale. Leslie has performed for private events throughout the U.S. and she has produced and performed in Night & Day and Santa Baby, the first two installments of a music video trilogy with La Vie En Rose set to complete the project in late 2017.
