Venue: The North Door 502 Brushy St, Austin, TX 78702 Saturday 5/13 1pm - Protest Songs 3pm - Rolling Stones Sunday 5/14 1pm - Rolling Stones 3pm - Protest Songs For over 50 years, the Rolling Stones have been the World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band. Named after a Muddy Waters song, the Stones cut their teeth as a RnB band, defined "Rock" music and have now returned to their roots with a new blues record, Blue and Lonesome in 2016. Featuring music spanning their 6 decade history. Rock and Roll has always had a place for political discourse that addresses social injustice. Artists from Bob Dylan to Public Enemy as well as Neil Young, Bob Marley, CCR, and Rage Against the Machine have used music as a form of protest. The Protest Songs show will contain strong political language and subject matter. Tickets $10 at the door, all ages.
