Savoy Brown, still rocking the blues for more than 50 years, tours in 2017 celebrating the 50th anniversary of the band's first album release, Shake Down. One of the very first bands from the UK to re-invent the blues in the mid-sixties, the group, led by guitarist Kim Simmonds, continues to perform, record and influence today. Savoy Brown helped lay the foundation of modern rock music by combining blues, rock and psychedelia. The band is a veritable history of music, and musicians, with multiple former members going on to form bands such as Foghat, or to play for groups such as Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, The Kinks, and many more. Simmonds has a star on the Rock Walk of Fame and is recognized, not only by the blues fraternity, but also globally as one of the world's finest blues/rock players. The 2017 tour will feature songs from the first album, songs from the five-decade history of the band and songs to be included on the band's upcoming album release later this year. Performance at 8:00pm. Join us before the show for full bar service, pre-concert entertainment by local musicians, stunning hill country sunset, and dinner prefered fresh on-site by Chef ATX.
