Line Dancing for Longevity
Line dancing is choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps by people formed in rows and executing the steps at the same time. It is excellent low impact exercise that promotes weight loss, improves balance, posture, coordination, muscle tone, and heart and lung function. It stimulates the brain, developing concentration and mental acuity through memorization of the dance steps. It improves rhythmic and musical sensibilities and is an outlet for personal expression as well as socialization. And best of all, it's FUN! The dances will be done to mostly rhythm and blues music, although other genres could be used including country and western.
