Bobby Mack is the genuine Texas bluesman formula - hot and sweaty guitar with that easily identifiable Texas flavor, natural smooth vocals, a killer band, and top notch original music. Bobby Mack has got everything he needs to be a bona-fide star; he can sing, play and write, produce, and he's been on the Texas scene for over 30 years. From Texas blues, to Rock n' Roll, to searing slide guitar, Bobby Mack has joined the ranks of the world's great guitarists. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Bobby Mack grew up in the rich Dallas/Fort Worth music scene. Performing onstage since 1970, Bobby relocated to Austin and fell in to the incubator of Texas Music that was Austin Texas of 1972. Playing in several bands in the seventies, Bobby cut his teeth at legendary Austin venues including Armadillo World Headquarters, Soap Creek Saloon, The One Knight, and The Split Rail in the developing Austin blues scene. Bobby was a house regular at the Austin landmark, Antone's "Home of the Blues", performing every Wednesday night through the mid- 80?s. As a staple of Austin blues crowd, Bobby shared the stage with such notables as Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Luther Allison, Willie Foster, Doyle Bramhall, W.C Clark, and Jimmy Rogers Bobby Mack has produced six of his own projects as well as recordings for a variety of artists released with worldwide distribution. His "Live at J&J Blues Bar" was immediately charted in the top ten on the British Blues Charts. Mack and his band toured extensively in Scandinavia, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and throughout Europe. He has played many of the biggest blues festivals in the world. In 1986, Bobby served as a musical director in a Texas cultural exchange touring with a troupe of Texas musicians in Russia. Bobby's been honored as Musical Ambassador to the World by the Texas Senate. At home in Texas, he was named a Four Star Admiral in the Texas Navy by Governor Mark White and was recognized in the Texas Sesquicentennial for his musical contributions. As a performer and producer, in addition to his own recordings Bobby has been involved in recording sessions with the Neville Brothers, Lonnie Mack, Doyle Bramhall, Willie Foster, Joel Guzman, and many others. Bobby's producer credits include "Texas Guitars, Vol. 1-The Women" (Catherine Denise, Lin Touratsos, Lynne Campbell, Rosie Flores); "My Life" & "I Found Joy" (Willie Foster);"My Place is Close to You" (Tolo Marton); "Let Me Down Easy" (Mark Goodwin); "Treat Me Right" (Catherine Denise); "White Dress" (Lynne Campbell); "Letting Go" (Nancy Silva Project);"Passion" (Patsy Thompson). Bobby continues to expand his credits as a producer.
