Austin Remembers: MLK (Free App for Android & iPhone)

“Austin Remembers: MLK” Augmented Reality App Austin, TX: augzoo LLC, an Austin-based software developer and publisher specializing in location-based Augmented Reality, announces plans to release an Android and iOS application for Austin’s 2017 MLK Celebration. The app will feature photos from the LBJ Library Photo Archive of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., President Lyndon B. Johnson and other Civil Rights Leaders taken during the Civil Rights Meetings and signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act combined with audio recordings of the oratory of four Austin 2016 MLK Oratory Competition Finalists. Users visiting the Texas State Capitol building will be able to view the virtual installation at the front of the building, as well as view four mini-documentary videos from Six Square’s mini-doc series. Users unable to attend the celebration at the capitol building can still experience the photos and oratory from any location at anytime. The app, titled “Austin Remembers: MLK”, will be available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play by Sunday, January 15, 2017, just in time for the celebration on Monday, January 16, 2017. The “Austin Remembers: MLK” App is sponsored in part by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Community Initiative Grant and with the cooporeation of The Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library, Six Square and the Austin Area Heritage Council (AAHC). The App’s photographic images have also been licensed by Intellectual Properties Management, Inc. (IPM) Licensing Manager of the Estate of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
