Idle Vine Stout Day 2017
Join us in celebrating that dark and mysterious elixr we call Stout. On Friday November 3rd, we will tap three lovely Stouts that we feel will show a great diversity in style. Hecho en Queso will be on-site serving up Homemade Mexican Fusion food made to order.
EL COO COOI – MEXICAN CHOCOLATE STOUT
ABV: 5.2% IBU: 30
El Coo Cooi is Spanish slang for the boogeyman. Parents would warn their children to behave or he would get you. The beer made in his honor is a robust, roasty stout with cocoa nibs, smoked poblano peppers, cinnamon, and vanilla beans added to get deep, rich Mexican chocolate flavors. The first sip will be sweet and easily drinkable but watch out, the creeping heat of the peppers will linger on your palate. So be careful or El Coo Cooi will get you too.
BLANCO NIÑO- WHITE STOUT
ABV: 6.7% IBU: 25
So what is a white stout? Using our magical brewing wizard hats we made a beer that looks like a pale ale and tastes like a stout. Big notes of chocolate and coffee are complemented by a touch of vanilla and a full body. So how exactly did we pull this off? We can't give you specifics but it does involve unicorns and goblins. There may have also been an epic journey in there as well. Try drinking it with your eyes closed. We dare you.
SOUTHIE- IRISH DRY STOUT
ABV: 4.6% IBU: 35
Hailing from Boston, our head brewer wanted to make a beer to commemorate St. Patrick's Day. Southie is a traditional Irish Dry Stout that is dark and roasty with a smooth finish. Sláinte!
